The following events are currently accepting bookings. Owing to limited capacity, these events are strictly limited numbers and early booking is advised to secure your place and to enable our team to safely plan for your arrival and attendance.

These events are all being planned with current Government regulations in mind and may change subject to the current guidance at time of event.

If you are in any doubt as to if an event is going ahead or if you need clarification of procedures in order to attend then do please get in touch.

Following the success and popularity of our 25% lunch discount in operation during September we are delighted to announce that we shall extend this offer through October. What better way to celebrate and sample our new menu which is due to launch 6th October.

So, that's 25% OFF all food and soft drinks Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday throughout September and October AND its UNLIMITED so the more you spend the more you save.

We have also now looked deeper into the Bar area and can now offer tables in the Bar rather than just on the Terrace. It is still table service for drinks.

Do book as we need to keep Covid safe and look forward to seeing you again soon.


We have decided to now open for some evening dining. We have the following dates for Club Restaurant Nights.

6th November | 20th November | 18th December.

We will open 6.30pm closing 10.00pm by Law with tables allocated the following 15 minute arrival slots.

6.30 | 6.45 | 7.00 | 7.15 | 7.30 | 7.45 | 8.00 | 8.15 | 8.30 last order.

We will be delighted to accept bookings for individual tables from 2 to 6 persons at £30.00 per person from a 3 course multi choice menu.

Guests are accepted with members.

The evenings are on a first come basis. Only your first booking will be confirmed, with other multiple bookings placed on a reserve list and contacted if tables are available. This is to give all members an even chance of dining out at the club.

Payment is in advance please to secure your booking. Cancellations will be refunded with a minimum of 48 hours notice or a change in Government restrictions. All bookings are confirmed on the understanding that Government rules may be subject to change.

ANNUAL MEMBERS DINNER - Friday 4th December

We are planning to host a special Annual Members Dinner Friday 4th December.

This is a complicated evening to organise as we wish to seat you on tables of six with fellow members who you know and trust with tables socially spaced.

We will talk with you to ensure you are happy with your fellow diners at table.

Important. This is a strictly members only black tie event.

Arrival 6.30pm. Club closes 10.00pm by Law.

4 course menu inclusive of table wines and port. £65.00 per member payable in advance and non refundable unless curtailed by Government restrictions.

If you wish to book a table of six or be joined by other members on a table please make your booking. STRICTLY LIMITED NUMBERS.

All bookings are confirmed on the understanding that Government rules may be subject to change.

snooker at the Ipswich and Suffolk ClubThe Ipswich and Suffolk Club boast a superb snooker facility with two first class tables in gererously proportioned adjacent rooms, conveniently located next to the club bar!

Here a thriving snooker section plays informally on a daily basis and throughout the year in club and inter-club competition.

The snooker section has for many years been under the capable stewardship of Snooker Captain Allan Williams, who with the help of the snooker committee makes sure that the full programme of matches are always well attended and much enjoyed by all.

The Ipswich and Suffolk Club Book GroupOwing to their popularity, the Ipswich & Suffolk Club runs two Book Groups for the enjoyment of its members.

Running throughout the year, the Book Group operates on either the first or the third Wednesday of every month depending upon which group you join.

The club Book Groups see an eclectic range of modern and classic literature discussed by its members.

All members are welcome to come along and join the discussions plus enjoy an informal light lunch afterwards.

Bridge at the Ipswich and Suffolk ClubCaptained by Maurice Barnes, the Ipswich and Suffolk Bridge Club meets every Tuesday morning for bridge in the Adam Room ahead of an enjoyable lunch in the club restaurant.

Here duplicate bridge is keenly contested by members and guests.

Golf | Print |

Regular golfing activity for members in IpswichMany of our members are keen amateur golfers and the club’s golf section provides regular opportunities to play in friendly competition.

Matches are played annually against local rivals, the Bury Farmers Club and the Colchester Garrison Officers Club and every year the Barnard Cup (stableford golf day) and Northgate Trophy (knockout) are keenly contested.

Our Scrabble Club usually runs in the evening of the second Tuesday of the month.

Test your wordplay skills and knowledge against other club members at a great fun evening.

Bar opens 6.30pm with a hot supper (diets catered for) and Scrabble to follow.

Chess | Print |

Our Chess Club runs the second Wednesday of every month commencing 6:30pm and is open to all members whether you are a complete beginner, rusty player or more experienced as the group can cater for all levels and abilities. Please do bring along a board if you have one.

Please note that there is no catering at this event but the Club Bar will be open.
